Job Description
Capital Automotive Group is seeking a detailoriented and proactiveAssistant Controller to join our Accounting & Finance team. This role is ideal for someone who is looking to grow their career in automotive accounting and contribute to process improvements across multiple departments. The Junior Controller will play a vital role in monthend closing receivable collection and financial reconciliations while working closely with department heads to ensure smooth and efficient financial operations.
What youll be doing:
- Assist in preparing and reviewing account reconciliations
- Support monthend close processes including journal entries and financial reporting
- Collaborate with department heads to streamline and improve accounting and operational processes
- Monitor and manage accounts receivable ensuring timely collection
- Assist in reviewing and implementing pay plans
- Analyze financial data and prepare reports as needed
- Provide backup and support to the Controller and accounting team
What were looking for:
- 13 years of accounting or finance experience (automotive experience a plus)
- Experience withCDKor similar dealership management systems preferred
- Proficiency inMicrosoft Excel(pivot tables VLOOKUPs etc.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
