What Youll Do:


As the Master Scheduler you will review and analyze orders and schedules to optimize production flow for thousands of part numbers across two locations. You will also track and review system data to identify new technology or efficiencies to help automate the scheduling process.


Your Accountabilities in the Role:


  • Researches plans and manages the estimating for two locations ensuring accurate and timely estimates to our clients.
  • Reviews and analyzes the schedule forecast with material/production flow timelines to ensure that materials parts and specific machines are ready for production.
  • Schedules production jobs ensuring all machines within production are optimized to create the best volume and flow.
  • Reviews and establishes system data and automation processes to help create efficiencies to the area.
  • Leads and coaches the team to ensure continued growth and efficiency of the team and scheduling processes.
  • Collaborates continually with Material Management Plant Manager and others to ensure smooth production flows.

Position Requirements:


  • Education: Bachelors Degree completed in a related field preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Experience: 5 years of scheduling management in a metal fabrication or similar machine job processing environment; 2 years in managing leading or mentoring others.
  • Certifications: NA
  • Functional Skills: Experience in planning forecasting and implementing scheduling using batch size policies and systems within a multiplant manufacturing facility using various machines to ensure a smooth accurate and ontime manufacturing. Strong math analytical and process skills are needed as well.
  • Technology Skills: Advanced aptitude with computers ERP systems Microsoft and other Automated Scheduling tools.
  • Communication Skills:Strong written & verbal communication skills along with presentation skills are required.
  • Leadership/ Behaviors: Strong leadership skills to be able to delegate and lead small teams and communicate with other departments.

Other Important Information:


Pay/Salary: Salaried role based on proven expertise.

Reports To: Director of Operations


Core Hours: 7:45 am 5:15 pm


Typical Work Week: MF; occasional weekend work where required; 45 50 hours a week on average


Direct Reports: 1 Scheduler


Travel: None


Work Environment: Working in an office space/ manufacturing environment


COVID Protocol: No Special Protocol; Individuals can wear masks if desired
