Job Description

NorthStar Memorial Group is seeking an IT Technician II at our Home Office in Houston TX near the Galleria. Here we believe in empowerment. Responsibilities

  • Act as a Tier 2 escalation point for complex technical issues that cannot be resolved by Level 1 support.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve advanced software hardware and network issues ensuring minimal downtime and business disruption.
  • Administer user accounts permissions and group policies in Active Directory Office 365 and other enterprise applications.
  • Manage and maintain IT asset inventory including hardware lifecycle management and software license compliance.
  • Assist with system and application security initiatives such as patch management antivirus updates and vulnerability mitigation.
  • Deploy and configure new workstations laptops mobile devices and other IT hardware with standardized images and settings.
  • Support and maintain enterprise collaboration tools including Microsoft Teams SharePoint and VPN access.
  • Assist with network troubleshooting including connectivity issues DNS/DHCP configuration and firewall rules.
  • Develop and document IT knowledge base articles to enhance selfservice and reduce support requests.
  • Perform root cause analysis on recurring IT issues and recommend longterm solutions.
  • Collaborate with vendors for hardware/software procurement support and service agreements.
  • Assist in IT project implementation including system upgrades migrations and deployments.
  • Conduct user training on IT best practices security awareness and productivity tools.

Qualifications

  • 6 years of experience in computer administration and troubleshooting in a corporate environment.
  • Ability to deploy configure and support operating systems on desktop and mobile
  • Experience with Office365 administration.
  • Experience with end user phone system support.
  • Experience with Active Directory Azure Entra Intune Administration.
  • Experience supporting multiple locations.
  • Knowledge of basic network connectivity with the desktop and local area networks.
