Day Runner / Transport Assistant
Location: Dover Kent
Hours: Monday Friday
Salary: 35000
PSM Recruitment is looking for a proactive Transport Assistant / Day Runner for our client based in Dover to help ensure the smooth and efficient running of their logistics team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review daily plans to ensure all vehicles and resources are fit for purpose making necessary adjustments to meet requirements.
- Keep Roadrunner and the planning sheet updated with any changes or new information.
- Monitor the Planning email inbox ensuring all orders are promptly uploaded and recorded accurately.
- Assist the Transport Planner in arranging reloads with attention to timing location and load suitability.
- Support the Tracker in preparing and delivering communications to drivers ensuring all instructions are clear complete and concise.
Experience:
- Experience in a transport or logistics environment is desirable but not essential
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confident communicator both written and verbal
- Able to work collaboratively in a team environment
