Description

Summary/Objective

As a representative for our company you will be responsible for all aspects of the FOH Experience team and the preparation and cooking of scheduled meal services at our kitchen and caf. You are the direct supervisor of the Front of House Experience an integral part of our team you will have the opportunity to interact with guests showcase your interpersonal skills and contribute to the preparation of various food items. Summary/Objective

As a representative for our company you will be responsible for executing preparation and cooking of scheduled meal services at our kitchen and an integral part of our team you will have the opportunity to interact with guests showcase your interpersonal skills and contribute to the preparation of various food items. Essential Functions (subject to change with proper notice. Functions may vary depending on location)

  • Works directly with Harvest Lead in the of the daily prep list
  • Performs quality control checks on all service items
  • Adjusts pars as needed with Harvest Lead approval
  • Verifies that all prepped items needed for lunch service are in order
  • Ensure that all food items are prepared as per standard according to recipes and directions whilst maintaining portion control and minimizing waste
  • Responsible for daily preparation of fruits vegetables spa (flavored) waters deli meats sliced cheeses vinaigrettes dressings aiolis salads fresh juices and other items as needed or instructed
  • Produces Grab and Go salad and sandwich items as needed or instructed
  • Sets up maintains stocks breaks down and cleans all Harvest stations
  • Ensure hot food is served hot and cold food is served cold
  • Assists other departments as needed or instructed
  • Responsible for cleaning the equipment used including individual stations food processing equipment and tools etc.
  • Maintain cleanliness of Front of the House equipment (Froyo Machine Waffle Machine Panini Press etc.
  • Follow all HACCP plans and procedures and take corrective action as needed
  • Ensure that all food preparation equipment is being used safely and correctly and that it is cleaned and maintained
  • Ensure that a consistent firstclass product of the highest quality is achieved and maintained in the production kitchen whilst adhering to operational deadlines
  • To project a positive and motivated attitude amongst all Team Members and caf guests
  • Ensure all guests badge in for their meal
  • Greet all guests and maintain a pleasant and welcoming environment
  • Ability to respond to guest inquiries or direct the guest to someone who can
  • Polishes plates bowls cups trays and silverware and keeps stocked throughout service
  • Take temperatures of foods served to ensure they are at proper service temperatures. Follow all HACCP plans and procedures and take corrective action as needed
  • General understanding of all equipment SOPs

Knowledge and Skills

  • Entrylevel culinary skills and experience with high volume production and large batch cooking
  • Basic proficiency of food and catering trends with a focus on quality and sanitation
  • Strong communication multitasking and problemsolving skills
  • Sense of urgency and ability to work and lead a team in a safe manner

Education and Work Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Culinary school degree preferred but not required
  • At least oneyear relative experience in full service moderate to high volume Restaurant Club or Catering establishment

Work Environment

  • Fast paced kitchen
  • High sense of urgency
  • Moderate to high noise level
  • Exposure to soap and cleaning solutions
  • Slippery/uneven surfaces may be encountered
  • Frequently moving from walkin cooler/freezer to normal kitchen environment
  • Occasional smoke steam and heat in a confined space

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Valid King County Food Handler Permit
  • Valid Washington State MAST Alcohol Server Permit Class 12
  • Ability to understand and communicate basic English (speaking writing and reading)
  • Completes Learn Legal and Privacy courses required by Meta

Physical Demands

  • Some heavy lifting (may lift 1040 lbs. and possible moving of equipment required
  • Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision for safe navigation of work area and use of equipment
  • Heavy and repetitive hand and arm motion involved in production and clean up
  • Standing walking bending twisting and balance are all required to perform job task
  • Reaching across surfaces while moving containers reaching above shoulders for containers for removal and storage
  • Standing a minimum of 8 hours a day
  • Carrying containers of different sizes and different types of product of all shapes and sizes
  • Removing hot items from oven
  • Able to work 10 hours or more shift plus ability to stand sit or walk for extended periods of time
  • Must possess hearing visual and sensory abilities to observe and detect emergency situations; also distinguish product taste texture and temperature

While performing the duties of this job the Team Member is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger handle or feel objects tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop kneel crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. Physical requirements include stooping standing climbing and frequent lifting of equipment. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
