The level at which the vacancy is filled will be determined by the qualifications of the candidate selected. This position provides the opportunity to advance within this job series.

Close supervision from the Contracts/Grants Supervisor or Manager or other equivalent classified or unclassified administrator.

May be used by all state agencies.
Job Distinctions:
Differs from Contracts/Grants Reviewer 2 by performing routine entry level duties.
Tasks performed are at the entry level:
Prepares develops and monitors routine and less complex contracts and/or grants agreements applications budgets amendments and subgrant agreements in accordance with statutory and regulatory requirements and departmental policies and procedures.
Works with administrators officials and other personnel to solve contract problems.
Maintains records prepares reports and/or correspondence relative to contracts and/or grants.
Provides assistance to program personnel in preparation of grants proposals or contracts agreements.
Reviews reports and records to ensure costs claimed are allowable and to ensure contract/grant is on schedule and terms are being met.
Assists in the preparation of RFPs (Requests for Proposals).
Tracks the approval process of contracts/grants ensuring all necessary approvals are received. Researches grant awards and state appropriation budgets to make sure that funds are available.
Obtains and reviews performance evaluations after completion of a project to comply with state law within established time limits.
Performs original entries reconciliations and all adjustments to grants management accounting records.
