Job Description
Gateways to Change is a nonprofit agency providing services to adults with developmental and physical disabilities in residential and community settings.
We are looking for a dedicated and committed Direct Support Workers who are striving to make a difference in the lives of the individuals we serve. Help individuals acquire and maintain skills to improve their dailyliving and socialization skills.
- Provide InHome and Community Based support to individuals
- Assist individuals with achieving a variety of goals in the home and local community
- Transport individuals to medical appointments personal shopping and recreation activities
- Assist in toileting dressing and hygiene
- Administration of medication
- Cultivate safe and supportive relationships
- Be creative organized and efficient
- Comfortable in a fastpaced environment and bring fun to the job
- Working independently and with staff
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a valid drivers license and existing insurance registrations & inspection
- Must provide a criminal background check with no disqualifying offenses
- Excellent organizational interpersonal and communication skills
