Job Description

Clinic Supervisors coordinate staff and manage the daytoday responsibilities of the clinic. Handle offices accounts to make sure the office pays its bills on time and bills patients with the proper insurance codes. Ensure staff members are friendly toward patients that each patient completes the proper office documents and that the medical office has the equipment and supplies it needs to operate efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Promptly responds to and resolves all service concerns and complaints to prevent unfavorable outcomes for Vista Health.
  • Answer phone and fax documentation appropriately according to hospital and HIPAA standards.
  • Collaborate with internal staff; provide the care and service needed as described in the departments policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that equipment used is maintained and functional and that repair requests are communicated promptly and completed.
  • Order department supplies and maintain inventory.
  • Log patients into the EMR (Athena) system to establish patient flow efficiencies.
  • Update department bulletin board with current notices as directed.
  • Obtain and accurately key complete and thorough patient and service information into computer system
  • Manages charges from patient seen by physicians in psychiatry rehabilitation neurosurgeon and hospitalist care.
  • Daily collections of accounts and assist in running weekly and daily report.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of payer requirements by obtaining required information to avoid payment delays.
  • Assist with Human Resources activities including interviewing new hires training and general disciplinary action.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent education. Bachelors degree in healthcare administration business or a medical field preferred.
  • Experience in a physician practice or health care setting.
  • Experience with medical insurance billing scheduling and customer service.
