Job Description
This individual provides staff and educational support for the Institutional Review Board IRB by interpreting and applying federal regulations; process and prepare research application packages for committee review; maintain meeting minutes and prepare all correspondence; assist researchers with the submission of a protocol and any necessary updates; monitoring and reminding researchers about annual updates/continuing reviews; conduct post approval monitoring of active research studies; maintain IRB member files and conduct annual interviews with members; conduct training sessions for groups/individuals on the institutional procedures and policies for human subject research. The individual reports to the Director Office of Research Integrity who is responsible for the oversight of the Human Research Protection Program HRPP . Knowledge Skills and Abilities: Must possess excellent problemsolving skills; good computer skills with a variety of applications; and the ability to speak to groups of people.
