JOB GOAL:

  • To assist the Information Technology Director in maintaining reliable and accurate Special Systems configurations and availability for general educational operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Qualifications to perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skills and/or abilities required to be successful:

  • A and N certifications
  • Three 3 years experience with the following:
  • Management and configuration of phone systems including POTS PBX and VoIP
  • Physical network CAT5E CAT6E and fiber maintenance and installation
  • Low voltage system including signage intrusion and speaker systems
  • UPS systems
  • Access Control Systems
  • FCC registered radio/walkietalkie systems
  • Lighting systems
  • Sound systems
  • Office 365
  • Printers (Ricoh HP etc) and print server management
  • Experience with isolated and networkbased video surveillance and vape systems
  • Experience with networking and network communications protocols
  • Develop and proactively manage project plans specifying goals scheduling contingency plans and allocation of available resources
  • Proficient communicator with excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with all levels of district staff and with a diverse community
  • Ability to work independently

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities and duties may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Work closely with and maintain open communication with the Information Technology Director to provide reliable and accurate special systems.
  • Maintain and ensure the technical availability of:
    VoIP Phone Systems.
    Video Surveillance Systems
    Building Security Systems
    Environmental control access (network based)
    Bell and Intercom Systems
    Other IT related projects as defined by the Information Technology Director.
  • Liaison to hardware and software vendors the special systems.
  • Ensure all special systems infrastructure is installed and maintained according to industry standards.
  • Ability to have working knowledge of computers and computer software such as Microsoft Office 365.
  • Remain current with changes and updates to relevant technology and applicable systems.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

  • 12month contract Hourly/NonExempt position under FLSA. Placement on Classified salary schedule by the Director of Support Services dependent upon education and experience
  • Benefits All approved benefits for Classified Employees
  • Must pass Department of Public Safety Fingerprint clearance check.
  • Must be United States citizen or have valid work visa at date of hire with the ability to maintain. All changes in visa status must be reported to Human Resources immediately. Photo identification and work visa (if necessary) will be needed for fingerprint clearance card and I9 documentation prior to first day of work.

EVALUATION:

  • Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Boards policy on Evaluation of Classified Personnel.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION:

  • Proof of Mumps Measles and Rubella (MMR) vaccination.
  • Valid government issued identification or current work visa with expiration date.
  • Unofficial copies of transcripts will be accepted with applications official transcripts will be due upon job offer*

* Transcripts issued in a language other than English must be accompanied by a full translation word for word by an acceptable translator. Additionally each foreign transcript must be evaluated for equivalency to United States accredited coursework by an acceptable agency such as those agencies certified by the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES). Applications containing foreign transcripts that are not accompanied with the above required documentation will not be considered.
