Job Description
We are seeking a Junior Data Engineer to join the Greenline team here at IDEXX Veterinary Software!
This role will be based hybrid onsite in the Franklin TN office.
This role will sit in the Data Operations team and report to the Manager of Data Operations. In this position you will play a key role in building maintaining and optimizing Greenlines Data Pipelines and Infrastructure to support analytics reporting and business intelligence needs.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with cloudbased databases writing efficient SQL queries and developing data pipelines. You should be comfortable working with both structured and semistructured data automating data workflows and ensuring data quality across various systems. This role will also collaborate closely with data analysts software engineers and account executives to enhance Greenlines data capabilities.

A bit more about the role you will:
Develop working knowledge of Greenlines clients veterinary products and common problems in the industry
Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest transform and store data from multiple sources
Design and optimize SQL Queries for data extraction transformation and analysis
Manager cloudnative databases including dataset and tool integrations
Work with semistructured data (JSON. Parquet etc. and enable efficient queries
Troubleshoot and resolve data quality issues inconsistencies and performance bottlenecks
Collaborate with Data Analysts and Software Developers to improve Greenlines data infrastructure and reporting capabilities
Implemented best practices in Data Engineering including data governance security and compliance
So what are we looking for
Bachelors degree (STEM Quantitative or a related field)
1 years of SQL experience including writing complex queries and optimizing performance
Experience with cloud databases
Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline development
Basic programming skills in Python R or SQLbased scripting
Experience with API integrations and working with structured and semistructed data
Strong problemsolving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and debug data issues
Experience with data visualization tools is a plus
Knowledge of the Veterinary industry is a plus
