About the Role

Mount Royal Universitys Department of Facilities Management is seeking a Space Audit and Database Clerk for a casual fulltime position from May 28 to August 28 2025. This role supports the ongoing collection verification and maintenance of campus space data to ensure accurate reporting and planning. The position will be 35 hours per week Monday to Friday with up to one evening shift per week as needed.

The Space Audit and Database Clerk will assist in visual space reviews data updates and general support for space planning initiatives using MRUs space management tools and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct visual inspections of campus spaces to verify and collect data (approximately 10000 spaces)

  • Update and maintain data in the Archibus Space Module and other relevant databases

  • Identify and document architectural finishes such as flooring paint lighting and furniture layouts

  • Perform basic condition assessments of space and furnishings

  • Compare floor plans and digital drawings to actual layouts to confirm accuracy

  • Create and manage work requests in the Archibus Building Operations Module

  • Support ongoing efforts to build and maintain a database of room finishes

  • Assist the Drawings and Document Specialist with updating space drawings and records

  • Review and verify building signage information and placement

  • Collaborate with team members on spacerelated reporting and data projects

  • Support additional space management tasks as assigned

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational interpersonal and communication skills

  • Proficient with computer applications including MS Office and Google Workspace

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time effectively

  • Physically able to walk and stand for extended periods while moving throughout campus

  • Detailoriented with a high level of accuracy

  • Experience with space or facilities data is an asset

  • AutoCAD skills are beneficial but not required

  • Familiarity with construction drawings or finish schedules is an asset

  • Must be capable of handling confidential information with discretion

Salary:22.50 per hour
