The Opportunity
As a dedicated Business Strategy and Planning Manager you will Provides support to executive management to identify develop and communicate specific business strategies across Bank functional areas applying sophisticated knowledge of USAA industry business development and financial planning. Conducts strategic analyses of business needs and environmental trends in support of business strategy development and planning processes and as appropriate enterprise strategy and planning processes. Conducts business strategy reviews to assess progress and drive awareness to leaders of strategy achievement.
We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio TX or Plano TX. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
What youll do:
Guides development and coordination of Bank strategy. Works with Bank executive management to establish strategic framework to enable short and longterm business goals and objectives.
Identifies and implements specific processes to lead the business strategic and operational planning process.
Maintains and aligns business process and frameworks to USAA enterprise strategy process and framework.
Builds and maintains Bank specific strategic and operational roadmaps to ensure results are met (current and future).
Supports integration of organizational change plans and strategies for large sophisticated business specific initiatives that align with organizational change practices.
Performs primary and secondary research and makes recommendations based on emerging trends driven threats business process improvement and opportunities
Guides team members as they perform research and analysis.
Supports Bank executive leadership with the design and coordination of the annual strategic planning and operational planning processes.
Assembles key participants and guides and facilitates crossfunctional teams in the strategy development and implementation of business solutions.
Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified measured supervised and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
What you have:
Bachelors degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
6 years of directly related business planning consultation with experience supplying to the development of business strategy shortterm and/or longterm goals.
Effective facilitation experience to include executive level communication and ability to influence.
Experience in Project Management.
Strong eye for business in financial services or related industry and a shown ability to balance critical thinking with practical implementation skills.
Demonstrated analytical skills an ability to translate raw information into actionable strategies and initiatives.
What sets you apart:
3 years experience in financial services.
12 years of experience in control monitoring and/or testing.
12 years of experience managing financials including budgeting forecasting and allocation.
Proficient in PowerPoint design & visual storytelling.
Basic understanding of data programs/processes.
US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner.
Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $93770 $179240.

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.
Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
