The Job:

As an Cutting Systems Engineer youll be part of our Tools & Outdoor Product team working as an onsite employee. Youll get to:

• Create and modify 3D CAD models and drawings for plastic and steel components subassemblies and complex design layouts.
• Design develop and test cutting system components across various product platforms ensuring compliance with all relevant standards.
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including Engineering Product Marketing Testing Production Supply Chain Service and Accounting.
• Innovate and test design concepts within manufacturing constraints using a handson approach to prototyping and assembly.
• Plan and conduct outdoor testing of power equipment to ensure performance and reliability. Communicate the results to the project teams.
• Utilize and develop data driven analysis tools to make informed design and business decisions.
• Maintain and review documentation within CAD and PLM software throughout the design cycle.
• Contribute to and document best practices to improve the teams speed to market maintaining a continuous improvement approach in all aspects of the job.
• Travel approximately 34 weeks per year primarily between February and April.

You have knowledge of Outdoor Power Equipment subsystems including frames suspension drivetrain cutting systems engines and electrical. Additionally familiarity with highvolume manufacturing processes and rapid prototyping as well as knowledge of regulatory requirements for Outdoor Power Equipment (e.g. EPA/CARB ANSI). Youll also have:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in new product development with a background in outdoor power equipment and/or power tool use design or manufacturing (preferred/not required).
• Experience in mechanical system design and analysis with familiarity in fluid dynamics. (Direct or indirect experience with CFD or particle CAE software is a plus).
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel Python Power Queries PowerBi Power Automate Power Apps and Microsoft Dataverse (preferred).
• A passion for product development continuous improvement and testing equipment in an outdoor environment is a must.
