George Fox University announces adjunct teaching positions in the Graduate School of Clinical Psychology. This posting is to gather a pool of applications for a variety of courses within the Graduate School of Clinical Psychology. The responsibilities of this position would include teaching doctoral students in generalist clinical psychology coursework in therapy assessment professional issues diversity faith integration foundational knowledge and/or research.
Our department consists of 12 fulltime faculty members with a communityfocused ethos an interpersonally collaborative and supportive approach and a high bar for excellence. The faculty team is dynamic and innovative and the program has long been wellrespected nationally (e.g. strong match rates to APAAccredited and APPIC internships). The department is supported by a strong community network and an onsite community health clinic. Further each faculty member has one day per week for dedicated clinical work/private practice. Finally the department runs three optional specialty training tracks in addition to the Generalist curriculum. These include Assessment Track Child and Adolescent Psychology Track and Primary Care Track.
Our community has been focused on striving to be different together engaging a Christcentered training environment that is open to students with varying levels of faith commitment. With both faith integration and engagement with diversity as primary interests of this program we strive to train students to face the challenge of further developing and growing in their faith commitment while also learning (and often living) alongside students who think differently than themselves. This involves humility respect bravery and willingness to engage in the uncomfortable in the interest of training excellence in clinical psychology.
While all of our faculty ascribe to a Christian worldview we train students from a variety of spiritual and religious backgrounds.
