Job Description

We are excited to announce an open position for an Innovation Engineer . This is an unique opportunity to contribute to the in Frontend of  innovation & become part of Global Innovation Management Team.

About the Innovation Management Team: We focus on developing ideas into new business initiatives Product services and reducing timetomarket for the most promising ideas. We work closely with business owners and other relevant stakeholders to ensure a seamless flow of ideas and Innovation programs/initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Idea Generation & Management:
  • Facilitate brainstorming sessions and creative workshops.
  • Managing and commenting on the ideas received on Konecranes Orchidea platform to ensure active participation from employees across Konecranes.
• Idea Evaluation & Decision Making:
  • Evaluate ideas using scoring models feasibility assessment or decision matrices.
  • Present findings to stakeholders for approval to select and refine the most promising ideas/concepts for development.
• Development of Concept Creation of Prototype and Testing:
  • Convert Raw ideas into concepts ensure relevant stake holder understanding & decision making. 
  • Develop prototypes and do testing and document the result of the same.
• Analyze market trends emerging technologies. Conduct competitive analysis to identify gaps and opportunities.
• Take lead to arrange & manage the internal innovation program for fostering creativity and innovation culture at global level. Collaborating with external university stakeholder for development of concepts/ideas.
• Work crossfunctionally from an engineering perspective; plan execute and deliver full engineering scope. Take responsibility for mechanical design and creating all necessary documentation.
• Awareness of ISO 14001 & 45001 Standards

Qualifications :

•  Bachelors degree in mechanical/ Mechatronics or equivalent with relevant 35 Years of experience.
• Knowledge about the development of ideas or products.
• Good communication skills event management & content creation to boost the Innovation culture.
• Knowledge about SCAMPER TRIZ SWOT & Design thinking will add value.
• You should have an innovative spirit and enthusiasm to work independently and lead the project within stipulated time.
