AEC Frankston is seeking our new nursing team leader the AEC Frankston Nurse Manager!

We are looking for that right someone who is proudly professional and passionate about nursing maintaining clinical standards driving improvement fear free/stress free handling and making sure that every animal who crosses our doorstep receives the best possible standard of care.

The AEC Frankston Nurse Manager will be part of the AEC leadership team whose vision is to provide great care in a healthy and supportive workplace delivering patientcentred care to animals and their people in a respectful ethically driven environment. We share responsibility for all aspects of running the hospital and work closely together as a team.
As Nurse Manager your role will include:
- Overseeing daytoday hospital operations including reception nursing care and client services
- Leading mentoring and supporting the nursing team while fostering a positive culture
- Coordinating rosters recruitment and workforce planning
- Participating in clinical shifts including weekends evenings and public holidays
- Managing inventory and handling administrative tasks
- Promoting ongoing education and professional development
- Supporting continuous improvement across the hospital
- Advocating for your teams needs and wellbeing within the leadership group
- Ensuring effective communication of updates opportunities and goals
- Conducting regular oneonone catchups and maintaining appropriate records
- Upholding high standards and ensuring team engagement and support
The Nurse Manager role is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic ECC hospital where there is a genuine drive to provide a supportive and caring work environment. The role will be supported by a highly experienced and collaborative leadership team with over 50 years of veterinary leadership and management experience.

What you need to bring:
- A passion to lead and motivate a high functioning nursing team
- Exceptional organisational skills
- A keen eye for rostering
- Leadership and team building skills
- Ability to work autonomously
- Previous experience in leading a team
- Cert IV in veterinary nursing or equivalent
- Keen sense of your professional identity and the importance of vet nursing reception and animal attendants in a successful workplace
- AVNAT registration/awareness
- Great record keeping skills
