You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailAs a Nurse Intern in Saint Alphonsus ASCEND Program you will work side by side with a designated RN preceptor in a 1:1 partnership. You will continue to advance your skills and clinical experiences to nurture development through experiential learning with direct RN observation support and mentorship.
Some additional programmatic components of ASCEND are weekly checkins with Clinical Experience Program Manager and your unit leader career and professional mentoring networking goal setting individualized professional development pathways and a lot of 1:1 support through the transition to practice from student to RN.
Night and Day shift dependent on preceptor.

Cover Letter
Letter from nursing education program professors indicating satisfactory academic standing/record. Transcript accepted.
Optional: Letter of Recommendation
Be in or starting final year of an accredited/approved nursing education program that is substantially equivalent to Idahos approved programs for practical/registered nursing.
Completion of a basic Nursing Fundamentals Course.
Be in good academic standing at the time of application and notify the Board of any change in academic standing
BLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross (ACLS and/or PALS may be accepted in lieu of BLS)
ASCEND Cohort starts in June
FullTime from June through July 8 weeks as a Nurse Intern)
Flexible schedule from August through May/Graduation (one 12hour shift every pay period during school)
Fulltime as a Registered Nurse for a minimum of one year after graduation
If the scheduling/time commitment for ASCEND doesnt align with your summer plans we have several traditional Nurse Apprentice positions open and that is a really great way to gain additional experience in the clinical setting that will also open the door to a smooth transition from student to RN.
