This is an exciting opportunity for those interested in a fun fastpaced environment that provides unique challenges and problems to solve on a daytoday basis. You will oversee the construction project team in Parks and Recreation. As a key member of our supervisory team you will oversee a group of design and construction project managers working on all phases of project management from concept through . You will lead the team as they work with the public to create opportunities for people to connect with nature and enjoy recreation opportunities in their community. You will influence the Parks Departments 10year capital projects list of park and trail improvements. We do everything from sidewalks ponds amphitheaters and playgrounds to community centers.
How to be Successful in the Role:
Bring in your strategic thinking and problemsolving abilities and guide your staff by using your strong project management skills. You will need to be a team player and great communicator who can work with consultants contractors elected officials other jurisdictions the general public and across division and department boundaries. As a strategic leader with a proven track record and developed skills in complex capital planning your solid technical understanding of park and trail development engineering and permitting contracting budgets process improvement and construction will be critical to your success.
