Sr Business Intel Engineer PXT Finance - ML Forecasting and Core Engineering

We are looking for an Sr Business Intelligence Engineer to push the boundaries of machine learning and simulation at Amazon scale and help build a scalable predictive and prescriptive business analytics platform that support our Finance stakeholders. As a member of People Experience Technology and Finance you will help drive adoption curate business drivers out of ML forecasting and prediction related improvements by delivering stateoftheart analytics system in collaboration with multiple Amazon science and data engineering teams. Candidate should be passionate about technology innovation and customer experience and is ready to make a lasting impact on the ML driven solutions and business intelligence. Key job responsibilities
Develop and implement scalable and reliable analytics tools KPI dashboards and metrics that drive key supply chain financial and procurement decisions.
Design and implement metrics dashboards to deepen understanding of cost structures HC and Stock based compensation models and variances highlighting opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate with Finance Cost and Account teams and Engineering to capture requirements and deliver analytics solutions.
Develop and implement analytics to continually improve continuity of HC and expense drivers and operational efficiencies.
Apply automation so that with every iteration on a problem you build your solution to have maximum scale and selfservice ability by stakeholders.
Understand a broad range of Amazons data resources and know how when and which to use and which not to use.
Recognize and use advanced analytical techniques to recommend prescribed/ optimized courses of action to users.
Interface with Data Engineers Business Analysts and stakeholders to deliver complete BI solutions.
Employ data mining segmentation and other analytical techniques to capture important trends in the Finance cost and customer base.
Participate in strategic and tactical planning discussions to interface with business customers gathering requirements and delivering complete reporting solutions.

You will have a passion to dive deep a high level of customer focus and a track record in process improvement. This role requires an individual with excellent analytical abilities strong knowledge of
business intelligence solutions and the ability to work with Finance quantitative and business teams. You will lead multiple automation and controllership initiatives across the Finance org. You will
be primarily using but not limited to AWS solution stacks like Amazon Q Sagemaker Redshift S3 Glue Lambda Data pipeline and reporting tools such as QuickSight Tableau and GenAI stack to implement BI solutions for Amazon Leadership team.


10 years of professional or military experience
5 years of SQL experience
Experience programming to extract transform and clean large (multiTB) data sets
Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
Experience with AWS technologies
Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval data science machine learning and data mining

Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs
Experience managing analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $117300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $202800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
