Job Description
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design planning delivery and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words were the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers storage networking power and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We are looking for a passionate frontend engineer to innovate in building websites deliver webservices that customers love and help us build the future of application monitoring at AWS. Key job responsibilities
* A passion for creating beautiful engaging intuitive efficient and highly usable user interfaces.
* Track record delivering frontend software that is correct stable high performance secure and accessibility compliant.
* Knowledge of engineering and operational excellence best practices.
* Understands how to be efficient with resource usage (e.g. application impact on memory and CPU caches appropriately respectful of customers devices etc..
* Knows how to instrument software with real user metrics to reflect the customer experience
* Experience building scalable frontend infrastructure software or distributed systems for commercial online services.
* Demonstrated leadership abilities in an engineering environment in driving operational excellence and best practices.
* Ability to analyze a user challenge and compose a solution with clear software and UX design actions.
* Can articulate the challenges and benefits of depending on frontend libraries frameworks and toolsets.
* Ability to work on a diverse team and values diverse perspectives.

About the team
The Network Performance Monitoring (NPM) team is responsible for the services that monitor the health of Amazons traffic to and from the the Internet and within Amazons internal network. NPM is a fullymanaged network performance monitoring service that provides near realtime visibility of network performance enabling customers to rapidly detect and attribute network driven impairments to their AWS workloads. We provide the foundations for network health observability and triangulation for AWS customer resources. Our biggest value proposition is to look at a variety of input data sources and come up with a network health indicator indicating the source of the impairment associated visualizations alarms and fault isolation.

5 years of frontend developer creating prototypes or wireframes for enterprise web applications or workflows experience
4 years of noninternship professional front end web or mobile software development using JavaScript HTML and CSS experience
Experience developing with MVC/MVM frameworks (e.g. AngularJS Vue)
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
Knowledge of web services technologies such as SOAP HTTP WSDL XSD and REST
Experience in a broad range of software design approaches and common UX patterns.

The base pay for this position ranges from $136700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261500/year in our highest geographic market.
