Job Description

Become a valued member of our supportive and collaborative vocational team in our outstanding Newham school as a Health and Social Care Teacher!

Our friendly and inclusive outstanding school in Newham is seeking an enthusiastic Health and Social Care Teacher to join our dedicated vocational studies department. You will work alongside experienced colleagues to deliver a highquality and relevant vocational education to our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and wellprepared Health and Social Care lessons at BTEC Level 2 and 3.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and resource sharing.
  • Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment that prepares students for the workplace.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods to engage all learners.
  • Contribute to departmental meetings and initiatives.
  • Participate in the wider life of the school.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Degree in Health and Social Care Nursing Social Work or a related field.
  • Experience teaching Health and Social Care at BTEC Level 2 and 3 (ECTs welcome to apply with relevant sector knowledge or placement experience).
  • A strong understanding of the Health and Social Care sector and the skills required for employment.
  • A commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
