We are seeking an experienced and innovative Knowledge Manager to support enterprisewide knowledge management efforts at the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ). This onsite position is responsible for leading the design implementation and governance of knowledge management frameworks that enable efficient information sharing support organizational learning and improve overall mission effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have a background in knowledge management or information science experience with collaboration tools and content platforms and the ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement and crossfunctional knowledge exchange.
Responsibilities:
Develop implement and refine the DOJs knowledge management strategy ensuring alignment with departmentwide strategic objectives and operational needs.
Establish and maintain standardized knowledge management policies SOPs and best practices to promote consistency and compliance across all components.
Oversee content lifecycle management ensuring accurate current and accessible documentation including legal references case resources and operational procedures.
Leverage platforms such as SharePoint intranet sites document repositories and collaborative tools to support efficient knowledge sharing and searchability.
Maintain a centralized knowledge repository and promote its adoption across DOJ teams through training guidance and process integration.
Lead or support training programs workshops and knowledgesharing sessions to encourage collaboration and organizational learning.
Coordinate with senior leadership program managers legal teams IT and operational staff to identify valuable knowledge assets and ensure their preservation and dissemination.
Monitor and evaluate knowledge management efforts using data analytics and feedback and provide regular progress and impact reports to senior stakeholders.
Serve as a champion for knowledgesharing culture helping teams adopt new tools and practices for continuous improvement and organizational learning.
Stay informed on emerging trends in legal knowledge management AIenhanced content tools and collaborative technologies to evolve the DOJs knowledge infrastructure.

Job Requirements:
Education & Experience:
Bachelors degree in Information Management Library Science Business Administration or a related field with 8 years of experience. Masters degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in knowledge or information management preferably in a public sector or legal environment.
Experience implementing enterpriselevel knowledge management systems and working with collaboration platforms such as SharePoint Confluence or Documentum.
Proven track record in developing SOPs maintaining internal documentation and driving organizational learning initiatives.
Experience leading crossfunctional initiatives and working with diverse stakeholders.
Familiarity with legal and regulatory information handling requirements including confidentiality and access control.
Tools & Technologies:
Proficiency in knowledge and content management platforms (e.g. SharePoint Confluence Documentum etc..
Experience with intranet development document tagging and categorization and permissionbased knowledge sharing.
Understanding of emerging technologies such as AI machine learning and automation tools relevant to knowledge management.
Additional Qualifications:
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance.
Travel may be required occasionally (up to 10 for workshops meetings or stakeholder engagement.

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
