SEA LIFE Loch Lomond is on the hunt for an experienced Aquarist to dive into a role packed with variety weird and wonderful creatures and a real chance to grow.

Weve got a clear progression plan across our UK sites so whether youre Level 1 or Level 5 weve got a spot (and salary! that fits. Perform well and you could step up to Displays Supervisor and with SEA LIFE sites across the globe who knows where youll end up

No two days are ever the same. You might be making enrichment toys for our Asian smallclawed otters working hands on with our 200000litre ocean display from siphoning to feeding and much more or prepping meals for the Largest Collection of Rays and Sharks in Scotland and the UKs only Olive Ridley Turtle (psst washing up is part of the deal too).

Weve got 35 displays from Scottish lochs to the predators of the reef and youll help look after them all. That means:

• Feeding and health checks
• Water changes and water quality tests
• Cleaning maintenance and enrichment
• Chatting to guests at feeding times and sharing the weird wonderful world of our animals

This is a fulltime permanent role and includes working a regular fair share of weekends and bank holidays as required as well as providing emergency call out cover on a roster basis.

Think youre ready Dive in.

• Experience within public aquariums involving maintenance plumbing and operation of large life support systems
• Shown experience in animal husbandry with freshwater marine animals and invertebrates
• An understanding of the fundamentals of water chemistry as applied to an aquarium environment
• A practical ability to build wow displays with a solid understanding of the accurate use of theming lighting and water movement
• A degree level qualification in animal care marine biology or equivalent is desirable
