About the Role
Were looking for a Principal Mobile Engineer to help lead the technical vision for our consumerfacing native mobile applications with a primary focus on iOS (Swift) and working knowledge of Android (Kotlin). Youll play a key role in shaping the mobile strategy evolving our architecture and mentoring a talented team of engineers building features used by millions.
This is a highimpact crossfunctional role for someone who is equally passionate about elegant engineering and empowering user experiences. Youll work closely with Product Design Data Science and other Engineering teams to bring Stitch Fixs mobilefirst experiences to life.
Youre excited about this opportunity because you will
- Lead technical strategy and architectural decisions for our native mobile apps focusing on the iOS platform.
- Collaborate across teams to deliver innovative scalable features that drive personalization conversion and longterm client engagement.
- Provide technical mentorship and thought leadership to mobile engineers across iOS and Android platforms.
- Partner with Android engineers to ensure platform parity shared best practices and consistent client experiences.
- Drive continuous improvement in performance stability and code quality across mobile codebases.
- Stay ahead of mobile industry trends and help Stitch Fix leverage modern frameworks tools and practices.
Were excited about you because
- You have 8 years of professional experience in mobile development with a strong emphasis on iOS (Swift UIKit/SwiftUI).
- You have production experience building and maintaining native Android apps (Kotlin).
- You have a deep understanding of iOS architecture patterns performance tuning and Apples design best practices.
- You have a proven ability to influence architecture and longterm engineering direction across teams or functions.
- You have a track record of mentoring engineers providing thoughtful code reviews and fostering technical growth.
- You have experience working in crossfunctional teams and collaborating with Product Design and Data partners.
- You have familiarity with modern tools and pipelines: CI/CD unit/UI testing instrumentation crash analytics.
- You have strong communication skills and a passion for solving real user problems with simple & effective mobile solutions.

Compensation and Benefits
This role will receive a competitive salary benefits and equity. The salary for USbased employees hired into this role will be aligned with the range below which includes our three geographic areas. A variety of factors are considered when determining someones compensationincluding a candidates professional background experience location and position is eligible for new hire and ongoing grants of restricted stock units depending on employee and company performance.
