Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer with 510 years of experience in the aerospace industry to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing processes lean methodologies and quality control. This role involves working closely with design engineers Test Engineers production teams and suppliers to ensure the efficient and effective manufacture of highquality aerospace components. Knowledge of liner explosive would be a positive attribute for this position
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Development: Develop implement and optimize manufacturing processes for new and existing aerospace products.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements using lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with industry standards (AS9100 and company quality requirements.
- Tooling & Equipment Design: Collaborate with design engineers to create tooling and equipment specifications that meet production needs.
- Production Support: Provide technical support to production teams to troubleshoot issues related to manufacturing processes or equipment.
- Documentation & Reporting: Prepare detailed documentation including work instructions process flow diagrams PFMEAs (Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis) control plans and other relevant documents.
- Supplier Collaboration: Work closely with suppliers to resolve any issues related to materials or components used in the manufacturing process.
- Project Management: Lead or participate in crossfunctional project teams focused on product development or process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or other Engineering disciplines such as but not limited to Aerospace Engineering Industrial Engineering or a related fields. A Masters degree is preferred but not required.
- 710 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer within the aerospace industry.
- Proficiency in CAD software would be a plus.
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies; Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a plus.
- Experience with AS9100 standards and other relevant aerospace quality standards.
- Excellent problemsolving skills with a proven ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Strong communication skills; able to effectively collaborate with crossfunctional teams including design engineers production staff quality assurance personnel and suppliers.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
