Summary: This exempt position is responsible for providing administrative support to the Human Resources & Administrative staff and performing a wide range of administrative and clerical functions in a timely manner consistent with corporate policy and legal guidelines. Support human resources activities including but not limited to the following: screening and interviewing applicants preparing payroll and administering employee benefit programs and other duties as assigned. This position exercises independent judgment routinely and operates within established guidelines.
Essential Functions: Includes the following (other duties may be documented and assigned by local management and some duties may not apply dependent upon the requirements of the position and/or the strengths of the employee and the needs of the company):
assist with payroll administration for exempt and nonexempt personnel.
2. May assist with health welfare and workers compensation plan administration including enrollments and terminations.
3. Assist and support with preparation for all required new hire transfer and termination processes including affirmative action plan documentation.
4. Create and maintain all employee records.
5. May assist with various general HR programs such as tuition reimbursement and uniform program etc.
6. Assist the department on a wide variety of Human Resources projects.
7. Assist with employee communication and relations activities as required.
8. Planning & coordinating of company events and activities.
9. Supports the companys corporate social responsibility programs within the community.
10. Support HR performance management processes.
11. Ensure legal compliance in all Human Resource actions.
12. Support all department/organizational training and development requirements.
13. Support all business objectives of the company by aligning Human Resource activities with the organizational goals and objectives.
14. Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to work with all levels of staff required. The ability to maintain strict confidentiality of information is required.
15. Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and follows all regulations and requirements related to safety and environmental compliance.
16. Responsible for following all quality policy standards.
Qualifications: Knowledge skills & abilities: Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Possess ability to perform duties utilizing current company software applications. Excellent interpersonal organizational verbal and written communication skills required. This position performs job duties in an ethical and professional manner. Education: High school graduate or equivalent required. Bachelors degree and professional certification (PHR) preferred.
Experience: 24 years prior related experience preferred.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervisory responsibilities may be possible to perform the job duties as designated by area management.
Working Conditions: Physical Demands: Required to sit or stand for long periods of time. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Ability to work 40 60 hours per week.
Travel: Domestic and international may be required as needed.
Work Environment: Working in an office environment with exposure tomanufacturing areas.
