Information Services Gripen is a unit at Aeronautics that creates digital solutions for information provisioning to Saabs customers. These are mainly created on the .Net development platform but we are constantly working on further development and adaptation to new technologies as our platforms have a very long lifespan.
We offer technical challenges in many engineering disciplines and we are truly a crossfunctional group where we mainly work with IT but where the applications are in aviation and support operations. Unlike software development for embedded systems we work with open technologies but in a limited environment where information security and traceability are of the utmost importance.
Your role
As a Senior .NET Software Engineer at Saab you will be responsible for designing developing and maintaining complex software solutions. You will work alongside an innovative team driving projects that have a realworld impact. Additionally were looking for someone who is passionate about leadership mentoring and stepping into a software leadership role as part of their career progression.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop highquality software solutions using .NET technologies.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to define software requirements and system architecture.
Mentor and guide junior developers to help elevate the teams performance and technical expertise.
Ensure the software meets high standards of quality performance and scalability.
Participate in code reviews ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
Stay current with new technologies and industry trends to bring innovative ideas to the team.
Help shape the technical vision for the product and contribute to project planning and prioritization.
Take on increasing leadership responsibilities with the aim to transition into a Software Lead role.
Your Profile
Qualifications:
5 years of experience in software development using .NET technologies (C# .NET Core etc..
Strong experience with relational databases (SQL Server MySQL etc..
Familiarity with DevSecOps practices.
Proficient in backend technologies is a plus.
Solid understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to work independently.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Experience with Agile methodologies.
A strong desire and ambition to transition into a leadership role in the future.
Masters or Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
Prior experience leading teams or mentoring junior developers is a plus.
