About Health & Safety and the Role
The Health & Safety team ensure that we operate safe working environments for all THG employees and visitors. The team provide onsite support to ensure risks are managed in a timely fashion as well as completing audits and checks to so the business meets all health safety and environmentrelated legislative requirements. The team are also responsible for achieving and maintaining legal environmental compliance to safeguard the business from financial and reputational damage.
We are seeking an experienced and proactive HSE Policy Standards & Training Manager to join our central Health Safety and Environment (HSE) team. This is a key role responsible for developing maintaining and driving the implementation of consistent HSE policies and standards across all our operations ensuring legal compliance and best practice. You will lead the creation and delivery of HSE training programs ensuring all employees and management are equipped with the knowledge and skills to maintain a safe and sustainable working environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop implement and maintain HSE policies procedures and standards aligned with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Lead the continuous improvement of HSE systems and frameworks across all business units.
- Monitor and review global HSE legislation and ensure policies are updated accordingly.
- Design and deliver engaging HSE training and awareness programs for all levels of the organisation.
- Support site teams in the effective rollout of policies and training initiatives.
- Act as a central point of contact for HSE standards and policy queries.
- Work with senior leadership to embed HSE into strategic planning and operational decisionmaking.
- Collaborate with sitebased HSE teams to ensure consistency and best practice sharing.
- Develop performance metrics to measure policy compliance and training effectiveness.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a senior HSE role ideally within a multisite or multinational organisation.
- Strong knowledge of HSE legislation standards (e.g. ISO 45001 ISO 14001 and best practice.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing HSE policies and training programs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage at all levels.
- Experience in delivering training both inperson and via digital platforms.
- NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent)
- Ability to travel to operational sites as required.
