MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Alameda County Probation Department is to protect the public safety by providing supervision services support and opportunities to our clients on behalf of the people of Alameda County through quality supervision leadership services and effective partnerships.
THE AGENCY
THE POSITION
Under the general direction of the Community Reentry and Outreach Director this classification is responsible for assisting justice involved individuals in obtaining services by providing oversight over one of four specializations within the Probation Departments ReEntry Unit which provides employment housing education and/or other rehabilitative programs services activities and projects; and does related work as required.

Education:
Possession of a bachelors degree from an accredited college or university 180 quarter or 120 semester units) preferably in workforce development education training public administration or organizational behavior and development.
AND
Experience:
Four years of fulltime professionallevel experience in any of the following: reentry program development and administration criminal justice policy development and/or direct service in reentry programs such as housing employment substance use/behavioral health services and education to reentry and criminal justiceinvolved populations. Two years of which should be in a lead or supervisory capacity.
Substitution:
Possession of a masters degree or above may be substituted for one year of the required experience.
NOTE: The Civil Service Commission may modify the above Minimum Qualifications in the announcement of an examination.
