Job Description
Overview:
Vista Medical Center is seeking a compassionate and dedicated SpeechLanguage Pathologist (SLP) to join our dynamic Rehabilitation Services team. As an SLP you will play a key role in helping patients improve their communication and swallowing abilities working closely with interdisciplinary teams to provide exceptional patientcentered care.
Responsibilities:
Evaluate diagnose and treat speech language voice cognitivecommunication and swallowing disorders.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patients needs and goals.
Collaborate with physicians occupational and physical therapists nursing staff and families.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments progress notes and discharge summaries.
Educate patients and their families on strategies to enhance communication and swallowing function.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Masters Degree in SpeechLanguage Pathology from an accredited program.
Current state licensure (or eligibility) as a SpeechLanguage Pathologist.
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCCSLP) from ASHA preferred (CFY applicants welcome to apply).
CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Excellent communication organizational and interpersonal skills.
Experience in a healthcare setting is a plus but not required.
