The School District of Clayton is seeking a studentcentered capable strings education professional with Suzuki based training to join our elementary school teaching staff. The mission of the strings education program is to provide students with musical opportunities and experiences necessary to become consumers creators and/or performers of music.
We are seeking a candidate who will help students acquire fundamental skills in string playing and musical expression as well as connect music with other disciplines in the curriculum. The goal is to help students gain musical independence so they may enjoy lifelong musical involvement.
The Successful Candidate:

Position: Part time 0.2 FTE.
Education: Bachelors degree in music required. Masters degree preferred. Must have demonstrated expertise in the area of musical concentration.
Certification: Missouri teacher certification with required endorsements for subject and level assigned.
Experience: Preferred.
Compensation: Highlycompetitive salary.

FLSA Status: Exempt Professional ExemptionTeacher.
Work Calendar: 192 day calendar.
