Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

Shelby Eastern Schools is hiring for the position of Student Success Specialist to support the new SES Virtual Learning Academy. This position is a full time hourly support staff position. It includes Health Benefits and PERF. The position is 184 days annually. This is a pilot program and the position is not guaranteed beyond the 202526 school year.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Support students and families with initial registration and integration into the SES VLA platform.

Progress monitoring and support for all students enrolled in the SES VLA.

Communicate with students and families weekly.

Communicate with counselors and building principals on the progress of students.

Enter quarterly grades and attendance into PowerSchool for Virtual Students.

Meet with new and current SES VLA students as needed.

Other duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma

Strong oral and written communication skills

Technology use as a strength ability to learn web based student learning platform

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form

Ability to plan and organize

Other qualifications that the superintendent may require

Anticipated Start Date: Fall 2025
