SUMMARY OF POSITION
Kinsley is seeking Forman Equipment Operators and Laborers to join our growing civil site crews in North East MD. Ideal candidates will have a strong work ethic a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. Equipment operators will need to possess prior experience operating loaders and backhoes.
TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
FOREMAN
- Effectively lead manage and motivate crews of 5 to 10 individuals.
- Successfully manage and schedule subcontractors
- Interpret blueprints project plans and specifications.
- Responsible for the production process
- Plan and schedule for necessary manpower tools materials and equipment to complete the job.
- Responsible for completing daily timesheets and maintaining daily logs.
EQUIPMENT OPERATOR
- Operates various heavy equipment in compliance with Kinsleys safety standards.
- Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of construction practices and site requirements.
- Ensures equipment is maintained through regular checks and servicing.
- Performs additional responsibilities as necessary to support the team and achieve project goals.
GENERAL LABORER
- Assist in backfilling and running compaction equipment
- Clean and prepare construction sites by removing debris and possible hazards
- Use various hand and power tools
- Assist with removal of fine grade stones along curb lines and sidewalks
- Take and understand instructions from crew leaders
- Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required
REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledge of underground utilities and general construction processes.
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as track loaders graders or similar machinery.
- Strong work ethic reliability and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to adhering to safety protocols and contributing to a safe job site environment.
- Punctuality and dependability are essential.
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation required.
- Ability to pass a preemployment DOT physical and drug/alcohol screening.
