What Youll Be Doing:
- Manage qualityrelated performance by understanding customerspecific quality requirements and effectively relaying information to operations through training and controlled process documentation.
- Lead problemsolving initiatives and guide the team to resolve issues.
- Contain and disposition all internal nonconforming material by using information from qualityrelated documents and production staff to determine if the product meets requirements.
- Maintain and develop customer relations by regularly speaking with customer contacts to inquire about product performance and opportunities for improvement.
- Update customer scorecards and customer portals.
- Maintain and develop supplier relations by clarifying requirements initiating improvements and monitoring performance.
- Initiate and manage corrective actions to resolve both internal and external quality issues.
- Develop and analyze statistical data to monitor quality performance and reduce nonconforming occurrences.
- Participate in the implementation of corrective and preventative actions.
- Monitor part and defectspecific s levels at all processes and implement cost reduction actions.
- Instruct inspectors and PAs on proper job practices pertaining to gauge operation inspection standards corrective actions etc.
- Create and maintain IATF documents including PPAP submission development of PCP FMEA new product launch and internal documentation and all relevant APQP.
- Assist with daily production issues develop rework strategies modify processes establish acceptance criteria etc.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities related to quality productivity engineering IATF etc.
- Work in compliance with Stackpole PMDM Quality and EHS Policies and Procedures including IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 / ISO 14001.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What Were Looking For:
- Strong problemsolving skills and handson experience with problemsolving tools.
- Strong technical background coupled with a minimum threeyear diploma in mechanical engineering or materials engineering or equivalent.
- Familiarity with best practices in quality assurance application of SPC tool design errorproofing techniques IATF 16949 etc.
- Handson wellorganized possess good interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated ability to work to tight deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
- Five plus years of relevant experience.
- Powder Metallurgy Technologist (PMT) Certification level 1 preferred; successful candidate will be required to obtain certification.
- Ability to travel to customer locations in the U.S.A. Mexico and Asia.
