Windham Academy is a public charter school focused on STEMbased learning serving students in grades K8. Our goal is to prepare students to be critical thinkers creative problemsolvers and future leaders in science technology engineering and mathematics.
Windham Academy is seeking a passionate and innovative Middle School Science Teacher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bring excitement for science education and a strong background in STEM as well as a commitment to handson inquirybased instruction that inspires middle school students to explore the world around them.
Develop and deliver engaging science instruction aligned with Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) for grades 68.
Incorporate STEM principles lab investigations and realworld applications into daily lessons.
Utilize technology and projectbased learning to deepen student understanding and scientific literacy.
Differentiate instruction to support a variety of learning styles and abilities.
Use data to assess student learning and adjust instruction as needed.
Foster a classroom culture of respect curiosity and academic excellence.
Collaborate with STEM team members and participate in schoolwide initiatives and events.
Bachelors degree in Science Science Education or related STEM field (Masters preferred).
Valid New Hampshire teaching certification (or ability to obtain).
Experience teaching science at the middle school level preferred.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Commitment to Windham Academys mission and STEM focus.
Experience with STEM curriculum development and/or integration.
Familiarity with Google Classroom digital simulations and other instructional tech tools.
Background in robotics coding or environmental science a plus.
Teamoriented with a collaborative mindset and a growthfocused attitude.
