Amazon is looking for talented Postdoctoral Scientists to join our Forward Looking Initiatives & Technology Enablers (FLITE) Team for a oneyear fulltime research position. The Forward Looking Initiatives & Technology Enablers (FLITE) Team. FLITEs charter is to enable Amazon Robotics Manipulation Organization to innovate on advanced technology development.
The research work for this position will explore generalization of grasp policies in simulation and on novel hardware platforms.
The Postdoc will research propose and develop policies by leveraging the stateoftheart visuomotor polices dataefficient reinforcement learning methods and foundation models for robotic perception and manipulation. The candidate will prototype algorithms in simulation and then deploy promising solutions to real and novel hardware. They will provide direction on where we should be focusing our efforts in this rapidly developing field and innovate and iterate on deep learning solutions for robotic manipulation.

PhD in a relevant field received within 2 years of starting the program
Proven publication record in Manipulation and Gasp Learning
Publications in related topics in Machine Learning Robotics Computer Vision AI Computer Science Econ Reinforcement Learning or other related technical fields
Experience in data science and quantitative research
Proficiency in technologies relevant to the subfield
Ability to independently deliver results in a fastpaced environment
Publications at toptier peerreviewed conferences and/or journals
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Expert knowledge in modeling and performance operationalization and scalability of scientific techniques and establishing decision strategies

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136000.00/year in our lowest geographic market up to $222200.00/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
