Summary
The Instructional Designer will play a crucial role in shaping effective and engaging learning experiences by designing and developing highquality instructional materials. The successful candidate will collaborate with subject matter experts eLearning developers and other team members to create learnercentric content that aligns with educational goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop instructional materials including course content assessments and learning activities that promote active learning and align with instructional design principles.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather and synthesize information transforming complex concepts into clear and engaging learning content suitable for a variety of delivery methods.
- Apply diverse instructional strategies adult learning principles to create effective and learnerfocused learning experiences.
- Create detailed storyboards that outline the structure interactions and multimedia elements of eLearning courses ensuring alignment with learning objectives.
- Develop formative and summative assessments that measure learner progress and provide valuable feedback to enhance the learning journey.
- Utilize instructional technology tools and platforms to design engaging and interactive learning solutions while staying informed about emerging trends in educational technology.
- Work closely with crossfunctional teams including subject matter experts eLearning developers and project managers to ensure the successful development and implementation of learning initiatives.
- Conduct thorough reviews and testing of instructional materials to ensure accuracy alignment with learning objectives and overall effectiveness.
- Stay current with educational research instructional design trends and best practices to enhance the quality and innovation of instructional materials.
Qualifications
- 25 years of experience in instructional design or learning and development.
- Proven experience designing eLearning instructorled training (ILT) and blended learning programs.
- Knowledge of instructional design models.
- Proficiency with eLearning tools (e.g. Articulate Storyline).
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Strong skills in curriculum development storyboarding and assessment creation.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Graphic design or video editing skills (Photoshop Premiere Pro).
