MidAmerican Conference (MAC) is currently seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Volleyball Coach. This position will provide support and assistance to the volleyball program by contributing to the coaching recruiting and
administrative efforts of the department.
Duties
Assist in the recruitment of studentathletes through observations of ability and talent in accordance with the rules and regulations of the NCAA MidAmerican Conference (MAC) and the University of Akron.
Provide technical expertise and utilize sound coaching methods aimed to
improving the athletic performance of studentathletes.
Assist with the monitoring of studentathletes academics.
Assist with the planning and supervision of inseason and outofseason practices and competitions and team and individual practices.
Assist with scouting of opponents and creation of a game plan for each game.
Participate in marketing and promotion activities to generate fan support and alumni/donor engagement.
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree required. Requires a minimum of 1 year experience coaching and/or playing volleyball at the collegiate level. An understanding of recruitment procedures and the technical fundamentals and principles of volleyball required. Strong communication skills and organizational skills required.
