Purpose of the role
The Teacher of English will ensure that highquality learning takes place and that outstanding attainment and progress are secured at all stages.
The purpose of the Teacher of English is to deliver engaging and effective English lessons that develop students understanding and inspire and equip students with strong language and literacy skills fostering a deep appreciation for literature and effective communication. They create engaging lessons that develop reading writing speaking and critical thinking abilities preparing students for academic success and realworld challenges. They will plan and assess learning support students of varying abilities and foster a positive attitude toward English.
