Description
Day Shift / Full Time / 40 hours
Wereseeking aAnesthesia Technician Emory Winship Midtown Hospital responsible for being a capable certified technician who cares about the quality of their work an ensuring the safety and care for all patients.
This individual will:
- Responsible for set up of invasive monitors and supports sophisticated equipment in anesthetizing locations and other patient care areas.
- Assists anesthesiology personnel with placement of invasive hemodynamic lines.
- Follows established procedures for equipment inspection. Tests equipment to ensure that it remains in proper operating condition.
- Stocks supplies and returns items to departmental storeroom upon receipt.
- Interacts positively with coworkers to ensure the flow of accurate and timely information between departments. Responds to emergency service requests made after regular working hours on a rotating basis. Assists in transporting postoperative patients to the Intensive Care Unit.
- Follows sterile technique principles and other infection control policies and standards to maintain a healthy work environment. Takes required precautions in keeping with JCAHO organizational and other safety guidelines when working with electrical equipment.
- Equipment Checks: Responsibility Description: Performs daily apparatus equipment checks.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred and two 2 years of related healthcare experience as an Anesthesia Technician or an equivalent combination of education training and experience.
