The South Dakota Lottery is looking for a professional Lottery Sales Representative who is a team player to work with our Retailer partners and customers in our Pierre office!
Typical route work around Pierre and central South Dakota with one office day per week and occasional overnight stays in the defined area if needed. There is also occasional travel to work events promotional activities and meetings. Work week Mon Fri 7:30 AM 4:00 PM with occasional shift accommodations when working promotions longer days etc.
Position Purpose: To be a liaison between the retailers players and the SD Lottery while increasing instant and lotto ticket sales. Responsibilities include establishing new lottery retail accounts and maintaining already established accounts in a defined route area through training and instruction of the lottery rules and regulations. Responsible for delivering instant tickets and supplies merchandising and returning instant tickets deploying point of sale materials for instant and lotto games along with suggesting and carrying out retailer/lottery promotions while providing the best customer service possible. Weekly monitoring of all retailers to ensure scratch tickets are received stored and sold in a secure manner. Training and informing the lottery retailers and players is a very important part of this position.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
experience working in collaborative team environments and demonstrating effective time management and organization;
possess or be able to obtain a valid South Dakota drivers license and have a good driving record;
must submit to a credit and state/federal background check;
good judgment in dealing with people and have the ability to communicate effectively.
ability to travel and perform work requiring irregular hours occasionally;
knowledge and experience with the practices of product marketing merchandising using POS material and display techniques;
High School diploma or GED.
Ability to:

use iPad and computer/programs fluently;
operate basic office equipment;
be accurate and detailed oriented;
lift up to 40 lbs. occasionally;
