DevSecOps Engineer

Were looking for wellrounded engineers to join our growing team of DevSecOps and Cloud Infrastructure practitioners supporting the U.S. Air Force Unified Platform Software Factory. Based in San Antonio the Unified Platform consists of a diverse group of industry experts that leverage agile methodologies and stateoftheart DevSecOps practices to deliver rapid impactful solutions to the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Cyber Command. In this role youll be responsible for supporting efforts related to automation and infrastructure security implementation technical compliance and governance incident monitoring and response enhancement and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines and continuous improvement. Ideal candidates thrive on automating processes implementing infrastructure as code and leveraging cloud and containerization technologies to enhance efficiency and scalability. • Follow Agile/GitOps processes using tools such as Jira and Gitlab or Nexus.
• Work as generalist that can support the deployment troubleshooting configuration and interoperability of various software.
• Manage containerization technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker.
• Develop and maintain Helm charts for deployment with ArgoCD and/or FluxCD.
• Optimize Kubernetes resource allocation and autoscaling configurations.
• Integrate security tools and practices into CI/CD pipelines including but not limited to Kyverno policy enforcement.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code IaC and Configuration as Code CaC using tools like Terraform and Ansible.
• Implement and maintain security controls in accordance with DoD standards such as NIST SP 80053 DISA STIGs and the DoD Enterprise DevSecOps Reference Design.
• Maintain and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure and cloudbased resources.
• Integrate DevSecOps tools and services to enable automated pipelines that support customer applications throughout their SDLC.
• Collaborate with development operations and security teams and contribute to the development of DevSecOps strategies and roadmaps.

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Information Systems or Engineering related discipline.
• Active T5 investigation with the ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances as required for access to classified information.
• US Citizenship is required due to client requirements.
• IA System Architecture and Engineer (IASAE) Level II Certification (CASP CISSP CSSSLP).
• 5 years demonstrated experience providing technical guidance to other engineers on automation/build tools Version Control CI/CD CM and Monitoring tools.

• Handson experience in any of the following roles or practice areas: CI/CD DevSecOps AWS Cloud Infrastructure Kubernetes Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Automation for System Administration and Operations.
• Strong understanding of industry standards and best practices for building services in Cloudbased IaaS/PaaS/SaaS environments.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to support the deployment troubleshooting configuration and interoperability of systems and software.
• Familiarity scripting languages such as Bash or Python.
• Experience developing Infrastructure as Code IaC and Configuration as Code CaC solutions using tools like Packer Terraform Ansible and Helm.
• Experience with Cloud One Platform One or Big Bang.
• Exceptional communication skills and desire to work in a badgeless collaborative team environment consisting of Government clients other Contractors and Stakeholders.
• Strong desire to work in team environment and learn new skills.
• Be local to the San Antonio Texas area and available for hybrid work 2x/week in office).
