Job Description:
This position assures studentcentered effective and efficient handling and triage of all student requests for information and services including the ability to assess the urgency of requests. Serves as the primary event planner for most transitional ceremonies and events assists with student travel and other office planning and procedures. Some evenings may be necessary during event season.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in event planning higher education communications or similar area of study or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
***Experience managing and implementing largescale events with over 700 guests in attendance.
Demonstrated advanced clerical and organization skills including the ability to conceptualize and
implement improvements to operational systems to increase efficiency and respond to customer needs.
Effective verbal and written communication skills and exemplary attitude to provide excellent customer service and to interact in a professional courteous manner at all times with diverse populations of students faculty staff and any other individuals with whom they come in contact in this role required.
Experience in student services or medical education preferred.
Experience with departmental and administrator schedules payroll and travel arrangements and reimbursement preferred.
Experience managing budgets preferred.
