SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

If youre great with children and interested in gaining experience in a fun supportive environment this job might be perfect for you! Under the guidance of Youth Enrichment Site Lead Summer Youth Staff assist in providing a safe nurturing and enriching environment for all students. As part of the onsite team you will ensure that every student is supervised at all times.

Hours: 11:304:00 pm June 16July 24 at Park Spanish Immersion

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Meet with Youth Enrichment Program Manager or Youth Enrichment Coordinator daily before the start of the shift.
  • Follow all District program and building health and safety procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality and privacy of children and families.
  • Be a positive role model and leader to staff and students
  • Lead recreation time with students after lunch.
  • Assist with lunch supervision.
  • Care for program materials and resources.
  • Support direct instruction to students individually in small groups and in classroom settings

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of child development and development stages
  • Able to help organize activities for students and work well with a team
  • The ability to speak and write clearly to communicate with others
  • The ability to follow and support others in upholding standard behavior expectations
  • Interactions require talking with students staff parents and others in the building/program

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
