Job Description
Parttime 12 hours per week
Tuesday Thursday mornings
Purpose
Wheaton Bible Church is looking for a teacher for the 2526 school year to plan and implement an ongoing program to teach 3yearold children to love God love others and love learning.
Responsibilities
- Provide daytoday safe supervision of 815 preschool children.
- Follow and implement WBC Preschool Curriculum.
- Setup and maintain a wellorganized safe and attractive classroom.
- Develop a positive relationship with fellow teachers in the classroom.
- Develop a positive relationship with each child and promote development of selfesteem and selfdiscipline.
- Establish a positive relationship with each childs family.
- Conduct individual parent conferences to discuss childs growth & development.
- Attend monthly class planning meetings.
- Participate in 15 clock hours of inservice training per year.
- Committed to holiness and developing your personal walk with God in order to model and lead others in their faith.
- If married love your spouse as Christ loved the church. If you have children disciple your children to know God and love Him.
- Pursue professional personal and spiritual development.
- Illinois DCFS teacherqualified.
- Must be at least 19 years old.
- Must have a high school diploma.
- 60 semester hours of credits from accredited college with 6 semester hours in courses related directly to child care or child development from birth to age 6.
- One year of child development experience in a nursery school kindergarten or licensed day care center.
- Passion for teaching preschool age children.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills in order to communicate effectively with parents children and other staff.
- Pass Background Check.
- Physical and mental health that do not interfere with child care responsibilities.
- Acceptance and agreement with WBC Statement of Doctrine and Faith and WBC Statement of Christian Lifestyle.
