Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
Candidate will plans manages and leads the design and development efforts to create electrical test equipment based on customer requirements and industry trends. Work with cross functional teams to complete the new product development process delivering ontime and on budget. Participate in continuous product improvement standardization and cost reduction activities.
Essential Functions:
- Establish and conceptualize the initial product specifications and architecture for assigned projects following through to design release.
- Work with management product management sales production andor marketing staff to discuss product application and project specifications.
- Complete seismic wind and vibration calculations to support equipment design to IBC and specific customer requirements.
- Understanding of air flow thermodynamics and sound level dynamics including measurement and instrumentation.
- Prepares and executes product validation test plans to ensure designs meet original project requirements
- Work with other departments within the organization to establish user or customer requirements project costs and resources.
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Masters Degree is a plus.
Skills
- Excellent time management and the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
- Mechanical CAD experience including AutoCAD and 3D modeling tools
- CFD and FEA experience would be a plus
- Strong customers orientation
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong team player
