    REPORTS TO: Activities Director or designee
    JOB GOAL: To cooperate with the AD in the assigned sport in maintaining a quality program within the policy framework of the school district.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    1. Certificate Endorsement or other legal credential required.
    2. Prior job experience (preferred).

    PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
    1. Enforce all rules of the District conference state and national association as they pertain to the respective activity. Adhere to the beliefs goals and vision of the school district for coaching and helping students be the best they can be.
    2. Coach/teach individual participants in the skills necessary for excellent achievement in the activity involved.
    3. Obtain completed and signed parental permission form insurance form (if necessary) and physical examination card (if necessary) prior to beginning practice. Have participants fill out the eligibility form.
    4. Cooperate with the administration Activities Director fellow coaches and students to promote the best interest of the entire activity/athletic program.
    5. Have meetings with administration and coaches to coordinate coaching methods at different levels; assign duties to all assistant coaches and assist the activities director in evaluating the performance of assistant coaches in grades 712.
    6. Conform to the school districts policy in ordering equipment and supplies for the activity involved.
    7. Prepare a roster of all team members.
    8. Assume responsibility for conduct of contestants involved in the activity.
    9. Assist in the preparation of and administration of the activities program budget.
    10. Assume responsibility for student participants until all participants are dressed and/or have left the building. Secure all gates dressing rooms locker and gymnasium facilities before leaving the area.
    11. Accompany and supervise the team to and from all contests.
    12. Conform to District and State policies in handling injuries; reports all serious injuries immediately to the Activities Director.
    13. Use proper collection care and storage of all equipment and uniforms during athletic season. Prepare and delivers a complete inventory of all equipment to the Activities Director at the conclusion of the season.
    14. Attend meetings when scheduled by the Activities Director unless excused by an appropriate supervisor. Attend booster meetings when they do not conflict with coaching.
    15. Cooperate with the AD athletic director and the principal in performing the duties related to the school Cheerleading program.
    16. Ensure that participating students understand rules and policies.
    17. Remain loyal to the program and to the team and follows directives given by AD.
    18. Attend all practices beginning the first day to the end of the season along with being available for all staff meetings.
    19. Assume responsibility for student participants until all participants are dressed and/or have left the building. Secure all gates dressing rooms locker and gymnasium facilities before leaving the area.
    20 Enforce discipline and sportsmanlike behavior at all times and assist in establishing/overseeing penalties for breach of such standards by individual participants.
    10. Report all injuries misconduct or other unusual situations to the athletic director or principal. Complete accident reports in a timely manner and submit to the school nurse.
    11. Check in and inventorying all equipment at the end of the season.
    12. Perform other job related duties as assigned.
