Job Description

Position: Intake and Administrative Specialist (IAP)
This position is parttime Monday Wednesday in person only


Job Description: Intake and Administrative Peer Specialist (IAP) will provide traumainformed individualized intensive supportive services to individuals who facing significant barriers to selfsufficiency including substance use mental health homelessness and/or involvement with the criminal legal system. The IAP will utilize a participantcentered process to help link participants to housing health care mental health substance use disorder and other support services to produce more healthy and sustained outcomes. The IAP will work alongside participants care managers and clinical staff to provide nonclinical connections across all programming which includes behavioral and physical health services emergency and longterm housing support skills training and employment assistance.

Intake and Administrative Professional is responsible for:
  • Open the front office location in the morning and close and lock it according to standard protocol in the afternoons. Hours of operation are 8:30am5:00pm closed from 12:001:00 for lunch. Closed for major holidays.
  • Serve visitors by greeting welcoming and directing them appropriately
  • Notifies agency personnel of visitor arrival
  • Maintains security and telephone systems and responds to phone calls within 2448 business hours.
  • Completing individual program intakes including initial assessment of needs and development of a comprehensive individualized service plan
  • Identifying prioritizing and addressing nonmedical needs and linking participants to appropriate community resources including but not limited to housing social security employment transportation medical recreation social and family supports nutrition and wellness information and medication.
  • Meet with new participants to conduct inperson or overthephone intakes and complete required documentation so the participant may begin utilizing services
  • Maintaining participant confidentiality
  • Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions irregularities and continuing needs.
  • Maintains safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures rules and regulations
  • Attending Empowerment and community meetings to improve service delivery collaborate services discuss standards of care and support community

Other Responsibilities Include:
  • Attend continuing education and skill development trainings
  • Maintaining SelfCare
  • Conduct intakes with new/incoming participants
  • Other duties as assigned

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
  • Applicable professional or life experience is preferred
  • Experience working with a diverse population
  • Ability to deescalate stressful situations with participants dealing with trauma
  • Effective Communication and Listening skills
  • Microsoft Office Products experience is required
  • Previous experience with Electronic health records (EHR) is preferred

Compensation: Starting hourly wage is $18.81 per hour.
