Develop and provide an effective comprehensive guidance and counseling program to serve the needs of all students. Provide orientation programs to acquaint students with new situations and facilitate their school adjustment process. Provide guidance activities within the classroom. Assist administration with coordination of articulation and followup procedures for students moving from schoolto school and from programs within the school. Act as a schoolbased source for parents and school staff for information regarding community agencies activities and organizations. Assist with administration and interpretation of tests when appropriate. Assist students with immediate and longrange educational planning and course selection. Identify students who require special consideration and attention and initiate or arrange for modified curricula programs or education alternatives designed to motivate and contribute to productive school experiences Collaborate with school personnel and parents on educationally related issues when needed. Assist with schoolbased attendance and truancy interventions. Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of records and related information and assist with management of student records. Participate in professional growth activities as directed by the Principal. Adhere to all applicable laws and district procedures and policies. Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal and/ or Director of Guidance.
